I am wondering none of these senators who responded as of now understand our request for adding the provision of recapturing unused visas. Please read below response from IOWA senator and not even one word about our request.

As you may know, Senator Richard Durbin introduced S. 729 on March 26, 2009. This legislation would allow unlawful immigrants who entered the U.S. as minors to gain eligibility for higher education benefits based on state residence, unless a U.S. citizen is eligible for the same benefits. S. 729 has been referred to the Senate Committee on Judiciary. You will be interested to know that Congressman Howard Berman introduced H.R. 1751, the American Dream Act, on March 26, 2009, which would create a similar law. H.R. 1751 has been referred to the House Committee on Judiciary and the House Committee on Education and Labor. Dear Members
For those of you joining us late, here is some info about this thread.
1. This is to do our least part to the core IV Team for their selfless sacrifice, for all of us getting the benefits of legal immigration. Note that , Aman Kapoor , the co-founder of IV has done his part by sacrificing $64,000/- from his own personal funds towards the administrative costs of IV. Yes you read it right , it is $64,000/- We come to know from his co-worker that he has sold his house towards running this show for us.
2. We have not yet figured out a way to reimburse these costs as IV does not yet have administrative costs part of the expenditure allocation, as we understand it. So instead of a wait and watch, we decided to go ahead with collecting the pledge from the members on the amount they are putting forth for reimbursing the amount. Once we come up with a strategy(members we look for your suggestions on how to get this done, please add your comments) we will instruct the members pledged to pay out.
So do not pay it directly to the IV core funds, yet.
Please help us spread the message about this thread in other threads by copy and pasting the following in other threads too.

I am happy to announce that I have received the EAD cards today (just like rc0878 had suggested). I should not have doubted the encouragement and estimation of the experience here.
So, I received the EAD cards dated Sept 18th, expiry is one year from the issue date i.e. Sept 17th, 2008 (unlike someone else's cards which were valid for only 3 months).
Let me know if someone wants to ask any other information.

we get excited before and few days after the bulletin ...the fact is that iron is no longer hot ..no matter what we do now -- it is too late. democrats focussed on healthcare instead of immigration and are fighting a losing battle ..they will be too tired to do anything after that. for those in EB3 and those who are in EB2 (but not yet filed 485) ...all they can do is have a strong plan B ..make as much money as you can while the sun shines ..the odds of getting a GC is worse that winning a lottery (so might as well buy few tickets now and then !!).
the only slight hope is that since amnesty is as good as dead ..they may pass some sort of recapture (maybe to give additional boost to housing).

Hallo I am new to IV. B'cause I live in DC I will go and visit as many congres and senate or I will certainly visit their office workers. How do U want me to prepare to talk to these ppl? Waht papers do U want me to take along?

EAD was about to expire before 90 days, so I took an infopass apt. The person that heard my case (soolemaga) was a d**k. Rude and impossible to communicate with. Anyway, he sent an email to someone at TSC after much cajoling and I get a call the same day from some nice lady from TSC. She says that my application for EAD is approved and I should get my card in 2 weeks. 2 days after I get the call from TSC, I get an email that card production is ordered!
I had initially called USCIS support with an expediate request citing Severe financial loss and I got a letter back that they are very strict processing expediate requests as they get a lot of such requests. So they had asked me to wait.
Hope this information helps someone!
